Ateneo School of Science and Engineering (SOSE) Research Week: 28 Feb to 5 Mar 2011

We are pleased to announce the activities for the SOSE Research Week:

Monday, Feb. 28, 3:00 – 6:00 pm SEC Foyer: POSTER PRESENTATIONS 

The various nominees from the SOSE departments will present their research. There are four categories:

  • Undergraduate: Basic Research and Innovation
  • Graduate: Basic Research and Innovation

The posters will be on display for the rest of the week.

Tuesday, March 1, 3:00 – 6:00 pm, Ching Tan Lecture Hall ORAL PRESENTATIONS  

The finalists shall make an oral presentation of their work. Each finalist shall deliver a 15-min oral presentation with 5-10 min Q/A.

Wednesday, March 2, 3:00 – 4:30 pm Escaler Hall BPI-DOST SCIENCE AWARDS 

The winners of the BPI-DOST Science awards will be presented:

  • Philipp M. Gotico  (4 BS Chem-MSE)
  • Leo Albert G. Sala  (5 BS Chem- MSE)
  • Miguel D. Sulangi  (4 BS Phy)
Friday, March 4, 1:00 – 5:00 pm MVP Roofdeck INTERLINKS 7.0 

Interlinks is a celebration of the fruits of the research efforts of the graduate and undergraduate students of SOSE. Interlinks encourages students to present their innovative projects to the general public. It provides an opportunity to establish and extend collaborations between the industry and academe.

Friday, March 4, 5:30 – 6:30 pm Escaler Hall AWARDING CEREMONY 

The winners of the SOSE Research Competition will be announced, together with the Interlinks ?People?s Choice?.  The two winners of the Security Bank Excellence Award will also be recognized:

  • Mary Grace S. Diamante (4 BS MIS)
  • Pamela Ann L. Lee (4 BS AMF)
Saturday, March 5, 8:00 – 5:00 pm SOSE SOSE OPENHOUSE 

All of the accepted applicants to SOSE programs are invited to visit the Ateneo, learn about their respective programs, and meet the faculty.  Individual departmental sessions have been scheduled.
